Ep 117 | What to Do in Your Garden Every Day (A Simple Routine)

Season #8

If you’ve ever walked into your garden and thought,
“I don’t even know what I should be doing right now…” this episode is for you.

April is the month where everything starts growing quickly… including you, and without a rhythm, it can feel overwhelming just as fast.

In this episode, I’m walking you through a simple, daily garden routine you can come back to every single day.  One that helps you stay present, catch problems early, and build confidence in your garden without adding more to your plate.

We’ll talk about what to do in the morning, what to notice throughout the day, and how to slow down and care for your garden in the evening.

Because a successful garden isn’t built in one big workday…
it’s built in small, daily moments.

In This Episode, We’ll talk About:

  • A simple daily rhythm for your garden in April

  • Why morning pollination can increase your harvest

  • How “bug hunting” helps you prevent pest problems before they start

  • The importance of noticing your garden throughout the day

  • Why watering slowly (with a watering can) changes everything

  • How to stay ahead in your garden without feeling overwhelmed

My Daily Garden Rhythm

Morning (10 minutes)

  • Pollinate your plants (tap tomatoes, cucumbers, squash)

  • Flip leaves and go on a bug hunt

  • Look closely—early detection is everything

  • Tie up any plants that need support

  • Water any thirsty plants

Midday (just a glance)

  • Notice your garden
  • Check for signs of stress or heat
  • Observe what’s changing

Evening (10 minutes)

  • Water again as needed
  • Tie up any plants that need support
  • Harvest something—even if it’s small
  • Do a quick check before you head in
